We all need a pep talk from time to time. You are worthy, sometimes business and life is a slog and it doesn't mean anything about you or your value.
In the words of Dory, "Just Keep Swimming."
Business owners are increasingly being pulled in so many directions, feeling like they aren't reaching their full potential in business and life despite their type a ways. With my background as a therapist entrepreneur and as a.com dropout with ADHD, I interview and coach high achieving business owners like you who want to stop struggling for success by using psychological systems, strategies, and the occasional carefrontation. This is the easily distracted entrepreneur, your place to slay overwhelm perfectionism and shiny object syndrome so that you can get done what matters most to you. Hello. Hello, my focus seeking friends. I wanted to pop in today and give a little pep talk. I've been talking to so many people in the last couple of months that find themselves in a transition in either the type of work they're doing or opening another business because they're wanting to transition or just changing the way. Their business models who go from one on one to group work or from therapy to coaching or working with people like doing done for you to consulting. There are so many ways in which people are in this transition. And I think sometimes we can be in business, especially for those of us who have been in business for a while. And with a lot of the people that I talk to and work with where we think, okay, I got this. I've done it before, so no big deal. I'm just shifting. And I think we forget that sometimes going into something new, it sometimes can feel like we're back at the beginning. Not that we are the beginner business owner because we do know so much more, but that a lot of those feelings and insecurities and worries and working on clarifying your message, all of that stuff can pop back up, right? So I see so many people discounting that and then feeling really bad, like there's something wrong with me. Like, look, now I'm making less money or it's more challenging to do that, and it's scary and we just got to give ourselves the space that just because it feels scary and uncertain, that doesn't mean we're on the wrong track. And that's one of those ways that our mind can sabotage us by thinking like, oh, this is scary and unknown. We don't like unknowns. As human beings, we're not really great with the unknown. And so it's like, well, go back to safety. Go back to that other way. Like, you're not ready yet or this isn't right for you. And so there's a lot of stuff, even within our own brains that are contradicting this goal we have for ourselves or this vision we have for our business. And then the sad part is what I see people doing is really beating themselves up like there's something wrong with them or they're not good enough or it's not sustainable and just not feeling like enough. And I just want to give you that pep talk of you are 100% worthy as a human being, as a business owner, as an expert in your field. And it has nothing to do with the number of sales that you bring in or any doubts or insecurities you might have, or moments of dreaming about going and working for someone else, or those small ways where we make our journey more difficult for ourselves. It's okay. We all do it. And it's about getting the support for yourself so you can move past it and not stay stuck. It doesn't mean anything about you except that you are in transition and it's hard. Allow yourself to grieve that. Allow yourself to cocoon, if that's what's necessary. Allow yourself to connect to others and get emotional support, whatever it is that you're needing. Allow yourself that and let yourself feel all those feelings because it's perfectly natural and it does happen. But don't stay stuck in them. Stay the course with this new vision you have for your business and your life. And remember, there's got to be rain before the rainbow.
